I like education, tech, culture, and positive-sum globalization
Born and raised in rural Kafr Alsheikh, Egypt. I went through the public education system where I volunteered in national student council for 4 years. Eventually in 2021, I was elected as a president of the national council representing the Egyptian student body of 24 millions in the ministry of education. I worked on the major 2021 education reform, proposed policies against teachers' violence, enabling technology and started a project for talents in marginalized Upper Egypt.
In 2021, I was awarded a full scholarship to study international baccalaureate in UWC Red Cross Nordic, Norway. I did more student council and represented the school in Elevorganisasjonen- in Norwegian. I also got into hiking, rock climbing, and camping.
In 2023, I was awarded another full scholarship to attend Lake Forest College, IL, where I was pursuing a degree in Computer Science and Economics until I got a fully funded spot on Semester at Sea's 134 voyage which I dropped out of college to participate in.
In addition to 10 countries visited on the MV World Odyssey in 2024, I have also backpacked around 16 countries totalling 26. I figured a passion towards exploring and understanding the variations of societies and cultures.
